Becoming a mystery shopper
How do I become a mystery shopper in the UAE?
To become a mystery shopper in the UAE, you join a research panel such as SMRC's, complete a short profile, and get matched to paid evaluation visits near you. As an SMRC mystery shopper you visit shops, banks, car showrooms, restaurants and hotels as an ordinary customer, then report on the service you received against a simple scorecard. It is free to join, you choose which assignments to accept, and you are paid an agreed fee for each completed visit plus any approved expenses. You need to be at least 18, live in the UAE, have a smartphone, and be observant and reliable. No prior experience is needed, because every assignment comes with a clear brief and training. Yes. Joining SMRC's panel is completely free. A genuine mystery shopping company never asks you to pay to register or to receive assignments.
How much do mystery shoppers get paid?
Each completed visit pays an agreed fee, plus any approved expenses such as a required purchase. The amount depends on the length and complexity of the assignment, and it is confirmed with you before you accept the visit.
Do I need any experience?
No. Every assignment comes with a clear brief, scenario and scorecard, and SMRC's panel team supports you, so first-time shoppers can start straight away. You just need to be observant, honest and reliable.

How often will I get assignments?

Yes. SMRC (Systematic Market Research Consultancy) is an established Dubai-based research company founded in 2017, with its own in-house field team. Real assignments never ask you to pay a fee or transfer money to receive work.
